Arrival information:

London is served by a number of airports. Please follow this link to maps which includes directions to LBS and local maps. Please note that the hotel is around 15 minutes walking distance from the School. We would advise to use the public transportation links to Great Portland Street Tube Station rather than paying for taxis which may take longer and will be significantly more expensive. The hotel is located right across the road from the Underground Station.

  • From Heathrow Airport take either the Heathrow Express which leaves the Airport every 15 minutes and takes 20 minutes, taking you to Paddington Station. (Please note that this is distinct from Heathrow Connect, departing from the same platforms, a cheaper but also slower service.) Paddington Station is approximately 15-20 minutes by taxi to the hotel. This ticket will cost around £21 each.  You can also use the tube from Paddington Station: take either the Hammersmith and City Line or the Circle Line and alight at Great Portland Street. Alternatively use London Underground – Leaving London Heathrow Airport on the Piccadilly Line to Hammersmith Tube Station – then change for either the Hammersmith & City or Circle Line (Eastbound).
  • From Gatwick Airport take the Gatwick Express Train which leaves the Airport every 15 minutes and takes 30 minutes. This service will bring you into Victoria Station which is approximately 15  minutes by taxi to the hotel.

Please follow these links for information on buying tickets and travel information for visitors for London Underground, Heathrow and Gatwick Express.

We would like to advise you to please carry any conference-related documents (including a copy of the invitation letter if you had asked for it) in your hand baggage and keep them ready for inspection at the Immigration check. This will considerably speed up the process.
